I Have Loved So Much

I Have Loved So Much · 1:1

Close up of a crying porcelain doll with huge blue eyes, long lashes, pink star stickers on her cheeks and glossy tears dripping from her chin, framed by lace, pink satin bows and roses in teal and pink. Signed Magpie.

A porcelain doll face fills the frame, close enough to see the gloss on her skin. Wide glassy blue eyes under heavy lashes, pink star stickers on both cheeks, and tears that run all the way down and drip off her chin. She is dressed for a party: lace bonnet, satin bows, pink roses, everything in soft teal and faded pink, as if seen through old glass. Sweet at first glance, heartbroken at the second. The poem behind her begins "I have loved so much without the capacity to care for it," and she is what that looks like: dressed for the party, and dripping.

Made from a poem.
