A girl with pale blonde curls and enormous green eyes looks out from inside a domed glass mirror in a dark ornate frame, one finger raised to her lips. Tiny pink diamonds are scattered under her eyes like confetti tears, and the window of the room glints on the curve of the glass above her head. Around her the shelves are crammed with doll heads, tins and pink gingham. The poem behind it is about never knowing where just enough turns into overflowing, and the room around her has clearly already decided.
