A doll like girl seen from below, head tipped back, one eye closed and one pale blue eye open. Thick glassy tears pour down her freckled, flushed cheeks and hang from her jaw, while loose droplets float in the air around her like she is crying underwater. Dark wet curls, a striped pink and yellow ribbon, a deep teal background. The poem this came from talks about swimming beneath a calm surface and diving through the current to find a treasured world buried long ago. She looks like she has been down there a while, and has learned to love the air at the bottom of the sea.
